Normally I don't listen to the radio when i'm driving in my car. One reason for this being that my radio does not work, but also, I find my choice in music ten times better than the radio choices. Sure the radio is a great convenience but my Ipod is ten thousands times better. (my opinion). Today was different though. My Ipod died, and i was forced to listen to 104.7, a radio station based out of st.cloud. Some of the songs on there were catchy and ones that I have on my itunes for dance purposes, but most of it was junk. This brings me to my main point.
How do people like Ke$ha, Far East Movement, and Cobra Starship get deal with a music business. For one, Ke$ha cannot sing better than your average person. I know that auto tune is used in majority of today's music whether just for affect or for the actual fact that someone can't sing, but she uses it in every song that i've heard. I'm sure she is a great performer, and she has a crazy personality which is marketable, but there are sooooo many people with incredible talents who will never get the deal they deserve because people like her hog the stage. I've never really understood that.
Now, people like Beyonce, Lil Wayne, Drake, Kelly Rowland, Adele, Chris Brown, Eminem, Usher, and much more clearly not only have a great stage presence but have either the voice, or the lyrical skills to back up their reasoning for being signed. It's people like this who are the reason MUSIC succeeds. My conclusion is that there are two types of people in the Music Business. Those who have marketable personalities that are greater than there skill, and those who have skill and great personality. So i guess basically, if you have one or the other, you have a better chance of making it in the bizzz... (mind you i'm only 20 yrs old with no music business credentials and this is all opinionated)

Weddings
Despite my many fascinating ideas i've had over the past few months for a new post, I've been ultimately too lazy to actually post anything. However, today I've felt an overwhelming sensation of motivation to write. So if you aren't bored of this already, please continue to read.
Do you ever have a moment when your realize how old you really are? I just turned twenty a few weeks ago, and I really feel no different at all. But today, the reality of how old I really am, and the responsibilities that are soon to come have been constantly floating around in my mind. Why am I all of a sudden having these thoughts? Because two friends of mine, who are also 20 years of age, are getting married today. 20 years old and joining the most holy ceremonies of all ceremonies. Two becoming one forever.
Sure, I am excited for them. The soon to be husband has a steady job, both are very responsible and come from tremendous families who wouldn't let them get married if they didn't feel it was the right time, but I still feel like I'm a step behind. If i was with someone right now (which unfortunately i'm not) I don't think marriage would even be anywhere near my radar. No matter how long we've been together. The idea of it sounds amazing but I don't think i'm ready at all. It's made me think maybe I'm not as mature as I thought I was. Reasons for thinking so;
1. I'm still in college and have no idea what to major in.
2. I still laugh when someone farts
3. Watching old disney movies is one of my favorite things
4. I hate when my food touches and still refuse to try new foods
5. Getting up earlier than 9am is killer
6. I still depend on my parents for most things in life
7. I listen to Justin Bieber
So how does one reach the maturity level high enough to be able to say they are ready for marriage. I can hardly take care of myself let alone attempting to take care of another for the rest of my life. I don't think i'm the only one who think this, nor do I think my friends are the only two mature enough for marriage at this point. It's made me realize i have some growing up to do...a lot of growing up to do. Hopefully one day i'll find that person who will make me wanna spend forever with them.
Thanks for reading to my random thought of the day, and as usual here is a song and my shoe choice for today.

Curtain Call
Verse:1
Hello world
so you thinkin that you know?
Nu uh sit down
this is my turn to go.
same old thing with the same old song
"a girl with a mic?"
"man that couldn't be more wrong"
But lucky for you, i'll forgive you everytime
so shut up take a seat
let me hit you with this rhymeeeee
wine, rum, alcohol
oh now i got your ear.
seems like thats the only thing that you care to hear
and livin for the fame
but too much of that life can make a person go insane.
I see your head turning
is that not what you wanna hear?
I see you quick to panicking and in your eyes i see the fear.
Devil and an angel just sittin on a shoulder
so set them thoughts aside
before your time grows so much colder.
Verse 2:
I'm tired of the shield that you keepin up in front
and that s*** you pulled last night, man that was quite a stunt.
lyin to your girl, but go and brag to all your friends
one day you'll regret it when that cylce starts to end.
so head my advice and please set down all your pride
know i'll grab your hand and your heart i'll always hide
from the pain and the hurt i know you've felt a time before
but this is our time so quit struggling and soar
far from this world where you've never felt so high
if I give you all of me promise you'll never make me cry?
I've been with people like you
i swear i've walked this street before
but never have i felt a love that hits me to my core.
so lets give em all a show, start the music
pull the curtain.

..A little bit...
-started a new music production class online, and started working on some new stuff. Here is snippet of some verses that MIGHT be on this track (Little Bit by Drake)..
#roughdraft
it's back to the line where it was all brand new
you thought you knew
but yes it's true
i'm missin you
oh but now it's on
hittin repeat to your favorite song
but time is gone and won't come back
never ever ever willing to give up the fight
I fought for you and you never knew
confused by my actions thinking I was right
but i was wrong, so wrong its clear
runnin in reverse, runnin far from fear
but seein the whole time fear was right here
consumed my mind with every thought
forgettin every single lesson I was taught
'bout right from wrong and good from bad
never have I ever felt a feeling so sad
i'm mad its true, i'm mad at you
maybe i'll get a second chance one day
to say..... ( Fill in the blank )

i'm missin you
so tell me where's the part when dreams come true?
oh but now it's on
hittin repeat to your favorite song

can we ever make up for the faith we lack?
i tried and tried to say it rightnever ever ever willing to give up the fight

Nike came out with a new shoes called, All Court Canvas. I believe it's a unisex shoe, which is why i'm posting this ha. LOVE the old school-converse vibe they're giving off with this shoe. Comes in three colors: Grey, Blue, and Red.
